My First Post

Before I never really had a use for blogs and whatnot but I figured using this would be a lot easier than typing everything into MSWord. Plus, if anyone who views this is also interested in dieting they could use some of the recipes that I use for their own meals, whatever works for you.
So the purpose of this blog is for me to track my weight loss and my eating habits while I attempt this new diet/exercise thing. My diet will mostly just cut out/limit my intake of carbohydrates. I started my "diet" on Monday 7/30/2012. I weighed in at 295lbs, ouch. I go to my trainer every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as well as going for runs ( <2mi ) on my off days.
I haven't really been taking pictures of what I was eating dietwise until today so I guess this will be my official start.
I will be posting what I eat periodically throughout the day and posting my weigh-ins every Monday.

Breakfast: Banana around 10am
Lunch: Right now ( 12:30pm ) I'm eating my lunch which is a grilled chicken breast marinated with 1 tsp of chili powder, 1 tsp of black pepper, and 1/4 slice of lime with 1/4 slice of an avacado and 2 slices of tomato.


Random snacks: 2 slices of mango ( 5pm )
Dinner: So at 7pm I went out to dinner with Courtney to a local Mediterranean restaurant. 
I had a few pieces of the bread they started us off with.
We ordered some pan seared scallops with julienned cucumber, vinaigrette, and crème fraîche to start off with. I had two.
I ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken, Miso Sweet Potato Puree, with a Port Wine Reduction. The portion was pretty decent sized, I shouldn't have eaten the whole thing but for $28 I just couldn't resist. The photo quality sucks, I feel awkward taking pictures of my food at restaurants.

So yeah, that's all I ate today. 
Is it weird if I say bye? I probably have like no one checking this out.
